Case Studie (em ingles)

Needs
Sanindusa, a design bathroom porcelain producer, challenged Displax Concept team to develop something different and attractive to its exhibition stand. The briefing was: 'we want something that attracts visitors, communicates innovation and creates an immersive environment'.

Solution
Displax Concept Team designed the entrance of the Sanindusa exhibition stand. In this entrance we installed an Interactive Floor and an Interactive Wall. As visitors enter the stand, flowers grow from the place where the visitor is standing and continue to grow up the wall. The resulting effect is a line of flowers that starts at the visitor's feet and ends in the wall in front. In the middle of the Interactive Floor some Sanindusa products are installed; this way when flowers grow and appear in the wall, some of them are also projected in real products. A specific flower was used in this installation that was the product logo, so, we provided interaction in the stand entrance and at the same time the physical product was being presented and promoted.

Results
Nobody in the exhibition fair was indifferent to Sanindusa Stand. It increased the number of visitors and more people today recognize the innovation and design investment that Sanindusa takes to their products.

Tecnologia

Displax Interactive Floor was based on initial technological developments of our company, the Displax Motion Sensors, that were developed by DISPLAX LAB in partnership with Minho University and Centre of Computer Graphics.

This technology is being continuously developed internally by DISPLAX LAB / EDIGMA.COM R&D allowing to detect motion over a surface with high precision over a surface. The surface can be a floor, a table, a wall or even your ceiling.

You only need to point the motion sensor to the floor and define the interactive surface area and it's done! Now your floor acts and reacts to your movements!

Displax Interactive Floor uses two things to display images: a good projector and a special floor projection screen that makes the images very bright and clear. This screen has a protection layer in order to resist more time to the deterioration of people passing over it.

The size of the interactive floor will depend only on the distance between the floor and the projector.

And how about contents? You need some interactive contents to have a WOW Displax Interactive Floor experience ! Your website, old multimedia applications and other stuff cannot be used on Displax Interactive Floor ! We are talking about a new way of interaction, so, the contents need either to be developed from scratch, or built using our library of customizable effects!

You can have several and different contents to be displayed in different hours of the day, week, months, years. We integrated a Content Manager at your service, which one you can remotely manage, in order to update and schedule the interactive contents.
